Lauren Preston was born in Homestead, Florida and moved when she was 18 to go to college.  She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Homestead for 10 years and then went to South Dade Sr. High. During high school Ms. Preston was a leader of the youth group and coached AYSO soccer. After high school, she moved to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida where she majored in Elementary Education.  Ms. Preston graduated with a degree in education on May 9, 2009 and moved to Lakeland in August. Lauren has been teaching at SJA for three years.

She has two older brothers and an older sister.  Her mother  has been teaching for more than 20 years and has been a principal for 12 years in a Catholic School.
