St. Joseph's is a small, family-oriented school that currently has 185 students enrolled from Preschool through 8th grade for the 2009-10 school year. Our small size enables us to know each student and to offer a more personalized educational environment.

St. Joseph's students take the ITBS test beginning in 2nd grade. Our students consistently score above average on this national test. Our students and alumni shine inside and outside the classroom. Many other students have been recognized in the areas of arts, math, science and music.

Our Catholic religion program is a daily regimen preparing students for their spiritual journey. The program is comprised of scripture, Catholic doctrine, prayer and service. Our students also attend weekly Mass every Friday morning. Each week a class takes the lead role in the liturgy.

St. Joseph's Academy core curriculum includes religion, language arts, math, science, social studies and Spanish. Core subjects are enhanced with classes in art, library skills, music, physical education, computer science and theatrical productions.

St. Joseph's Academy also offers:

Our school is accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference under the auspices of The Florida Department of Education.

St. Joseph's Academy has a strong history in the Lakeland community. This year, we are celebrating seventy-one years of academic excellence and Catholic formation. Many of our current students have parents and grandparents who graduated from St. Joseph's.

This year begins another chapter for our beloved school. Through The Alive In Christ capital campaign, we have purchased and renovated the Southside Baptist facility in the Lake Morton Historic District and classes began on August 31, 2009.
