Mr. Justin Lewis is our new art teacher. Mr. Lewis is currently the middle school science teacher and will continue to teach science and add art. He is certified in Middle School Biology and Social Science and is scheduled to receive his certification in art for grades K-12 after the holidays. He has previous experience working with students in grades pre-K through eighth so he is very excited to have this opportunity to teach art to all our students.
His passion for art began in elementary school where he won the State of Texas Best of Show for the school and Honorable Mention for the State. Mr. Lewis continued art throughout his high school and college years. After college he began teaching art lessons to young students at Parker Street Ministries and at an elementary school in Costa Rica where he gave of his time to teach art classes to the students on Saturdays. He is a member of the Polk Museum of Art new community program Volume and will be featured in the annual art review at Florida Southern College.
