Financial Contributions:
Cash Gift
A cash gift is the simplest way to support SJA and has an immediate impact on the school. Cash or credit card donations can made as one-time gifts or monthly, quarterly, or annual contributions and are deductible for income tax purposes in the year in which they are contributed. (Please consult your tax advisor for tax implications.)
You may designate a cash donation for a specific fund, program or project, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Scholarships
- St. Joseph's School Foundation (Tuition Fund)
- Programs
- Facilities
- Greatest Need
- Classroom Wish List
Checks should be made payable to St. Joseph's Academy and mailed to:

Pledges
You can pledge a cash gift amount to be paid over a specific period of time. For example, you may pledge a gift of $25,000 to be paid over three years. To pledge a cash gift to SJA, please call Molly McHugh; Director of Advancement, 863-683-8780 or email her at mmchugh@stjosephlakeland.org.
Corporate Matching Gifts
Many companies match contributions to charitable causes made by employees, officers, directors, and in some cases spouses and/or retired employees, officers, or directors. And since O'Hara has a 501(c)(3) status, your gift qualifies as a charitable contribution. Don't miss this opportunity to double or even triple the value of your contribution! Consult your company's personnel or community relations department for guidelines.
Planned Giving
Planned giving is the process of making a charitable gift to an organization, carefully selecting the best method and assets for making the gift. The planned gift requires consideration and planning in light of your overall estate plan. Some of these gifts include will bequests, life insurance, real estate, trusts, and annuities. Because of the size and potential impact of such gifts, you should contact your professional advisor before completing the process.
Through planned giving, you may find that you are able to make a generous gift to the St. Joseph's Academy or St. Joseph’s School Foundation to help increase tuition assistance, and contribute to capital improvement while also reducing your burden of income, capital gains, or estate taxes.
To let us know you have or are considering the St. Joseph's Academy or The St. Joseph's School Foundation in your plans, please call Molly McHugh; Director of Advancement at 863-683-8780 or email her at mmchugh@stjosephlakeland.org.
