Katie Curry was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida. She attended Resurrection Catholic School from K-8 and graduated from George Jenkins High School.  During middle and high school she enjoyed competing in and later instructing gymnastics. While attending George Jenkins she began cheerleading, eventually competitively and was dually enrolled at Polk State College.  After graduation she coached cheerleading for one year before becoming a preschool teacher for five years.  Ms. Curry has her Florida Child Care Professional Credential, Director Credential, and Associates of Science degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Education.  She is currently working on her bachelors in Early Childhood at the University of South Florida. Ms. Curry has always loved working with children and feels blessed to be able to pursue a career she truly enjoys in the warm, loving atmosphere of St. Joseph’s Academy, a truly Catholic school.
